Features & Reviews Editor, ComputerWorld
As of December 3, 2007, I've moved from InformationWeek to ComputerWorld, an IT/tech publication with a strong print and online presence.

Reviews Editor, InformationWeek.com
Everyone needs a day job, and until November, 2007, I worked as reviews editor for CMP's InformationWeek.com, a well-known technical publication (both in print and online) catering to those knowledgeable in the world of IT and technology. I assign, edit, and occasionally write reviews, and contribute to the InformationWeek blog.

Features and Reviews
I spent many years as a freelancer writing for print and online publications for many years now. While most of my work took the form of product reviews and features about technology, I did occasionally break out into other subjects. These are links to some of my past articles.

Web Site Content
While many Web site owners are expert in their particular field, they may not be able to perfectly express that expertise in words. This can turn into a major problem with company sites, where minor errors in spelling or grammar, or an inability to express oneself perfectly, can give visitors the impression that the owners are neither professional or expert. As a freelancer, I helped fix that.

Consumer Column
Several years ago, I was employed at Computer Shopper, where I wrote a column called "S.O.S." (Shopper's One-Stop Solver). Each month, I would investigate one or two letters that we received detailing problems with a vendor and explain how I solved the problem and how the reader could do the same if necessary. To prevent my being besieged by hundreds of aggrieved consumers, we kept it anonymous. Nobody knew who SOS really was -- nobody, that is, except me, my boss, my friends, and now, you.
